Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC)

Also known as autoclaved cellular concrete (ACC); AAC is a masonry product manufactured through a process combining sand, cement, lime and water. These products are made in various sizes of panel or block and used in the construction of wall, floor and roof systems.  

 

Invented in the 20th century, AAC provides structure, insulation and fire-and mold resistance. Form include blocks , wall panels, floor and roof panels, cladding panels and lintels. AAC products may be used for both interior and exterior construction.
